Bulk Goods

We offer topsoil, hardwood mulch, leaf humus, dyed-black mulch, limestone screening, and playground mulch in bulk.

Bulk goods are available for delivery in the Heights area at a cost of $40 for the first truckload and $15 for each subsequent truckload. Delivery outside of the Heights area is available but at an increased cost.

(Not sure how much to order? For reference, a cubic yard of product will cover a typical parking lot space to a depth of about one inch. For a more exact figure, you can also measure the area you wish to cover, multiply length x width x depth (all in feet!) and divide by 27.)

Bagged Goods

We offer a variety of mulches, including hardwood, cypress, red-dyed, pine mulch, pine nuggets (small and large), pine straw, dyed-black mulch, and cocoa bean mulch. We also offer bagged organic peat, composted cow manure, mushroom compost, humus, Sweet Peat, potting soils, sand, pea gravel, river rock, and pond pebbles. Grass seed for sun, shade, and in-between lawns, as well as straight Kentucky blue and playground mix, are available for sale by the pound.

Fertilizers and Supplements

Our gardening aids section includes lawn fertilizers by Espoma, Cock-a-Doodle Doo, Good Nature, and Milorganite, as well as lawn care products such as Scott's Weed-n-Feed and Scott's crabgrass preventer. We encourage the use of organics, and carry a full line of Espoma fertilizers for trees, shrubs, and perennials, and other organic supplements including fish fertilizers, corn gluten, and worm castings. We also carry remedies for garden pests and plant diseases.

House Plants

We have a great selection of easy-care, low-light requirement houseplants.

Annuals and Perennials

Throughout the spring and summer we have a wide and rotating selection of annuals and perennials. We will be having weekly specials -- stop in and see what's looking beautiful this week!

Roses

We have a history of carrying a large collection of David Austin roses. Their fragrance, beautiful colors, and ability to resist (or survive) fungal diseases has put them way above hybrid teas. We do not carry hybrid teas at all after years of watching customers get more and more frustrated by all the work, chemicals, and disappointments that come along with them.

Roses can be low-maintenance -- you just have to choose the right ones. We recommend shrub, rugosa, landscape, and David Austin roses. We will be carrying a more complete line of David Austin roses than ever before this year, and offering them in big, beautiful 3-gallon containers.

Services

Delivery of all products is available for $40 for the first truckload and $15 for each subsequent truckload.

Potting/planting: Choose a pot (or bring in one of your own) and we'll plant it with flowers you've chosen for small fee to cover the cost of potting soil.

We also provide advice and diagnostics for plant illnesses and pest problems. If you can bring us a sample in a well-sealed plastic bag, this is very helpful in providing you with a diagnosis.
